Welcome to the website for Halstock and Corscombe - a resource you may consult and also contribute to. As two villages close in terms of geography and culture, many events occur that are supported by both. For this reason, it seems sensible to have a combined website that enables us to share resources. As of 2nd September 2010, we are counting how many visitors the site receives. You may be interested to know that you are visitor number 13123 The site is currently under development, so changes will occur on a regular basis. You can send a message to the webmaster giving your ideas for how the site should develop. Why not register so that you can add items to the calendar and news pages.

The Parish Walks Group For all parishes in The Chimes area. This is an open walking group; anyone may come along but each person takes responsibility for her/himself. All the dates for 2011 or on this page, and details of each walk appear one month before in The Chimes. Dogs are allowed (on leads). Walks start at 10.15am for 10.30am (to allow for lunch orders) and walks generally end with a pub lunch. Corscombe & Halstock Community First Responders We provide emergency medical support to cover the gap between calling 999 and an ambulance arriving. We work with the South West Ambulance Service Trust. We are a team of volunteers trained by the ambulance service.
We meet the first Thurday of each month for training - at 7.30pm in Corscombe Village Hall. |
